Check car after hit? Please advise

My car was hit from the back. The bumper and one backlight were cracked. But it runs pretty much the same as before. It is a Honda Civic.  I do have to get on to the highway every day for work and it is 30 mile drive one-way.  Should I take it to check up?  What kind of check up?
