Got in a Hit and run. Need advice!

A truck hit me from the back and cracked my bumper and one light.  Then he ran away. But fortunately the car behind him saw and wrote down his license number.

I called the police. They recorded it.  My insurance is only liabilities. So what can I do now?  Just wait for the police to find the truck that hit me?  Do i need to call my insurance?
