Question for 'Check Engine' code 0420, Honda odyssey 2000

只有一个 p0420 代码，车子有 11万的里程.

I know it is related to O2 sensor or Cat Convertor or somethins else but I don't want to spend over $1500 to change them.

I can reset the 'Check Engine' light by pushing the 'Trip/Reset ' button, .....

I need to pass the Emission Test in TX. I know the OBD II computer has to be in 'Ready' state when my car runs the emission test.

My question is: If I use 'Trip/Reset' button way to reset the Check Light off, is My car still in 'Ready' state?
