Car's fault by defoult---almost

Car/bicycle/pedestrian accident always ends with car's fault, almost, I was told by my insurance company agent; go get the police report and contact the other driver's ins co asap. then follow the case handler's lead from their ins co and bargain for the best suffering loss, other than ALL of the property damage/loss and medical expenses and loss of work comaensation (80% of your pay for the lost working days). It will take 6 months at least to settle this case if you do it on your own, depening on how soon your hubby recovers fron the injury.  If you hire lawyer it'll take year(s) to go over.  From your case description, your hubby has quite severe injury already.  That "Culumbia Jacket($200) is the least damage compensation in this case, IMO.  All details will be recorded in the ins case file..Remember, all of the ins claim $$$ is tax FREE......I just went through this myself last year with Geico....good luck with the case.
