not sure I understand your question...

So when you step on your brake, the noise goes away. When you drive it without putting your foot on the brake, there is that zzzzzzzz noise, is that right? If that is the case, the noise is not likely from the brakes.

However, it would be normal to hear the zzzz noise when you step on your brake, especially after you had a new sets of brake pads put on.

If you feel uncomfortable about it, you may take it back to the shop to have it checked...
