Old cars may need higher octane number gas because of the carbon deposite in the cylinder head increase the compression ratio. Als the carbon deposite temps to cause knocking. Maybe that is why you felt that premium gas "好像比普通的有力气一些".
GM engineers already warned the GM owners long ago that the car with 87 gas recommended should not use premium gas because it may damage the engine.
My suggestion is: use the lowest rating gas that the manufacture suggests at least AND/OR causing no symptoms of knocking/low power in you car.
