Thanks alot for your reply.

To take this approach, I guess at least I have to uninstall the wheel? Even I can do this by rotating the star wheel to expand the adjuster length, how do I know when to stop? The star wheel can only rotate in one direction. If I rotate and expand too much the star wheel can not go back and I have to open up the drum again. Any trick on this?
