I have 06 Audi A3 (40k miles) the maintenance cost just like other cars, oil and filter change staff like that. I haven't had any machinal problem.
I suggest you guys go test drive the Q7 TDI (Turbo Diesel) if you can tolerate SUVs.
I personally don't like Mercedes and BMW, sorry if I offense any one.
