While you are waiting for the police, do not just wait, you need to do the following:
1. Think what happened: how it happened, where were you, what you were doing.
2. Look at the road condition: day or night? dry or wet.
3. THink about the traffic rules!!!
4. Organize the complete story, get ready for police. It has to be clear. YOU ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE. Police report cannot be altered.
5. You may talk to the other side, but don't tell him/her your version of story.
6. Collect license info, registration, and insurance.

When you talk to the police, tell him ONLY KEY POINTS, make it short and clear.
