It depends on what the car has. Is it fully loaded? How many years of bumper-to-bumper warranty left? (BMW carries a 4-year full warranty).

They say the new car finance rate from bmw usa is only 3.9% Also for a new bimmer, you can write off the sales tax (unless your AGI is too high). Therefore, it is probably better off to get a new one base 3.0. If you happen to go to Europe, then you can knock off another 5-7% for European delivery option, which will be a car made in German.
