Data shows Toyota Camry cars not recalled also had problems:

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Many of Toyota Motor Corp.'s Camry cars built before 2007, which weren't subject to recalls, have been linked to a comparable number of speed-control problems as recalled Camrys, the New York Times reports on its Web site Tuesday, citing an analysis of government documents.

While owners of all makes of vehicles have filed complaints with the government about speed control problems, the analysis--which the NYT based on a review of 12,700 complaint records in the U.S. over the last decade-—reveals that Toyota had more complaints involving crashes than any other carmaker.
