If I were you, I would buy BMW. Life is short (usually less than 100 years), you need to enjoy different (nice) things in your life.

If you belong to the kind of people who do car shopping according to consumer report, then lexus may be for you; if you belong to the kind of people who do car shopping according to "motor trends", BMW has been consistently rated number 1 in the class of $45k ~ $60.

Disclosure: I drive BMW 5 四驱. It is so much fun to drive in the snow.
