transmission work

My 2001 MAZDA MPV transmission was burned out because of my carelessness
during the snow trapping.
Can anybody tell which is the best option to repair it?
1. Rebuild the transmission
2. Install an old transmission
3. new transmission.
One dealer give me the quote of putting an old transmission of $2500,
warranty of 3 months. Another dealer told me it is better to rebuild the
transmission with quote of $2000-2400 with 1 year warranty.
