You can bend down to look at the CV boots. If it's not broken,

Look at the CV boots. If they are not broken, you're fine. If indeed you see oily in that area, you should get it checked and replaced right away (if just boot needs to be changed it's each, or the CV is worn, you'll have to change the shaft all together. Some shops will change the shaft only though).
