I suspect their car had fatal defect other than floor mat. In our common sense, even floor mat stuck to gas padal, it is impossible to get speed as high as 120 mph, you have to push gas padal very hard. Even at 120mph, you still can use brake to slow down the car, but I heard at that accident the lexus's brake is not working at all. I owned three Toyota cars before, frankly I like them, I hope toyota can find real defect and fix them.
