From your recommended site, I have got an answer:"
For unknown and very mysterious reasons the electronic chips in the keys die on occasions. So far the only fix is getting another key. If the first key keeps on failing and the second works fine, get anther new key for spare. It sucks to wait 3-5 days for replacement key when you are on vacations 1000 miles from home."

I got my second key last saturday at the dealer's and used it as a warm start, it worked. And I used the second key for a cold start a few minutes ago, it worked. Hope the case is closed.
