1. TPMS sensor is not covered by warranty if the sensor in the tire is damaged. i.e. if you have a flat tire and the sensor got damaged, it is not covered
2. But, TMPS is not a very useful system if you check the presure periodically
3. In that case, just disable it. I did some research: press the TPMS reset button for 15 seconds while driving the car.
4. If you have to get a new one, you can get it online much cheaper. And Walmart only charge $5 for reset/program it. The dealer charges $98 for just program it. What a rip-off!
