She is behind you, even though you made a sharp left turn, it's her duty to avoid yours. As only as policeman didn't give you ticket, you are fine.

As biglow said, just firmly claim you were driving straight while she hit you. Since she doesn't have insurance, not sure you can get money out of her. Eventually you may need to file a claim against her at small claim court...
