BMW的3系还是5系

各位高手，有个问题请教。

我知道比较3系和5系，不是一个苹果和苹果的比较。他们的sales说：they are totally different beasts. 我想知道这有那么大的区别吗？

我看了一下，engine是一样的，内设可以选，宽度差不多，长度有些区别，重量有些区别，轴距有些区别。感觉没有什么特别大的不同。

新车价格差别挺大，但如果我想买个两年旧的，好像价格好接近。

如果是175以上的人坐在3系后座，会感到很窄吗？本人喜欢有马力的感觉，但是有时候也要载人。
