You could ask the dealer. Couple of years ago

when I leased mine (a 6) there was a subtle lag on acceleration and from stand-still. Others also complained because it could be a safty hazard especially if one tries to make a left turn before the incoming traffic. They upgraded or updated the computer software for timing/shifting/fuel injection/etc and erased the memory the car learned from the driver habit. It solved the problem. The bimmer guy said it is happens because many drivers do a long break-in period in the beginning. The computer remembers this driving habit and use it as your driving style later on. Once those old memory are erased the computer will learn your new driving habit based on your current style. You probably will feel more to your demand. Wow, they are selling for over 60k!
