Actually RWD is as safe as FWD if not better

The difference between FWD and RWD is understeering vs oversteering. Understeering is easier to control. But nowsadays BMW and Infinity RWD cars are all equipped with dynamic stability control systems that prevent cars going out of control(a lot of oversteering). In addition, RWD cars are more agile, so they are more capable preventing emergencies.
The biggest downside of RWD I think is it is easier to be stuck in snow or mud.
