So if a large amount of rain water is poured onto your hot engine all the time and the thick vapor is everywhere under your hood, as long as you have a perfect ignition coil, your car should be OK, right? Plus, the vapor or water only affects car ignition coil? Well, I would check the shield and fix that first no matter what if that IS missing or badly damaged. Good luck.
