Impact Wrench and Air Compressor

For home mechanics, a 20~30 gal.,150 psi rated air compressor is about appropriate, use 1/4" coupling and tools, 1/2" wrench is most common; usually when you buy this piece, buy a better than average one, say a little more compact and higher output. my choice is 1/2" Ingersoll Rand 231C: output 450 # of torque and 625 on reverse.(650 plus 1000 of torque of reverse is lot better but lot more expensive). This is enough for lug nuts revoval. Air compressor is usually rated with not only the max pressure, but a CFM (air flow rate cubic feet per minute)at certain pressure, say 90 PSI as a normal STD pressure. Your "110 PSI" is not a sufficient indicator and does not sound like enough though. Do not use impect wrench when tightening; you just use it mainly for loosing up some bolts or studs...Good luck
