[求助]没付拖车费就开走车, 严重吗?

事情是这样的, 我上星期六晚上车在街上被拖, 说是违规泊车. 被拖一小时后,我给拖
车公司打电话要取车, 说不行要等到第二天. 于是我就找到那家拖车公司, 才发现就是
一私人的house, 我车就停在driveway上, 没有什么门锁着, 我就把车开走了, 可是今
天从当地警察局收到一封信, 说"the car was taken after-hours, without making
payment to towing company"要我在11号之前跟警察局联系, 否则就要申请arrest
warrant和告我"theft of services" . 其实那天是去参加一个活动，我就跟着停在别人的车后面。现在真不知道该怎么办了。 多谢大家.
