谁来帮帮我?

10 天前(10/21/2007), 我家的车被人撞了. 对方的错. 没有争议.警察来的.

10/22/2007, their insurance company sent us letter and said we can rent a car.

10/23/2007, 对方保险公司检查car后定为total loss and asked us sent the title to the tow company to treat the car as junk car.So we did on 10/24/2007.

10/31/2007, their insurance company sent us a letter today and said that"total value of the car is $6800, old damage is $146, salvage is $1922, net settle payment is $4800 ".Our car is 1997 Toyota 4x4.85k.KBB value is arround $7300.If they pay us $6800,we think it's fine.But we are surprised by the $4800 this number.We think that $1922 doesn't make any sense.

Further more, the rent car company called us today and said that insurance company asked them send the rent car bill to our home and said that they would pay us money after we send the bill to their company.We don't think we can ask the rent car money back if we pay the money now. But if we don't pay the rent car money, how can we do that? The rent car company has our credit card number.wu,wu,wu,...

Who can help me? Who can tell me what can I do? I think the insurance company is bully us.But I just don't know what can I do.Our insurance company said they could not help me, because I did not buy insurance for my own car(Danbao).
