you can never can the sample car if you buy a car. The problem is that the test does not cover all the cases in real life. Good test results do not mean the car will perform well in any acident. If the car is design to meet the test requiremens only, some other important factors might be ignored. I think that might by the reason why Japanese cars have good test results, but do not perform well in real life car accidences.
