local audi dealer has US$8000 off from MSRP $52000.

Q7 is a full-size/very-heavy suv. w/ the 6cyl is a little underpowered but 8-cyl is very expensive.
However, if you need space/3rd row/towing, then I guess so.

IMO, suv is not as fun/easy to drive as a wagon, drinks too much gas too. Our 8-cyl suv uses so much gas that I really feel very bad about the pollution it causes.
