1. Since the torque curve and HP curve determine each other, in the end it doesn't matter what it's about, HP or torque. If you really want to be pedantic about it, I'll tell you it's ultimately about the torque curve, HP as a concept is redundant and unnecessary for calculating acceleration times.

2. My engine #2 has exactly the same PEAK power as engine #1. Your criterion, when you only say "244 HP @ 6250 RPM", cannot tell it apart from engine #1.

3. Your problem, as people have time and time tried to make you realize, is that you think HP is one single figure at one rpm. But it's all about the CURVE. Whether it's the torque curve or HP curve, it doesn't matter. But it's not about any single value at any single point.

You do know what a curve is, don't you?
