In your case, check the battery first by taking it to an auto part
shop or walmart and have a load test. If you know for sure the battery
is good, then ask the store to charge it for you for free. You can
then drive your car to an auto part store, e.g. auto zone to have the
alternator( i.e. generator) test in the car.
