Agree that acceleration is determined by turque curve only. Relation of power and torque is fixed for any given rpm anyway. And I trust your math. But you need to think deeper about why torque curve is like that. Why torque even goes down when enginer works harder? Only talking about torque would not let you understand that correctly. I bet if you ask an engineer who designs a car engine. He must give a lot thought about power.
