But most likely you have a leak in the system.

Locate the compressor, turn the engine and AC on, check if the clutch on the compressor engages, if not (certainly it will not engage), follow the following procedure to do further check.

Some where near the reciever there is a pressure switch, on top of the switch there is a electrical connector, you can un-plug the connector, short the two wires on the connector(not the switch), then start the engine and turn on the AC switch, watch the clutch on the compressor, if it is engages this time, you have a leak in the system. Find the leak, fix it, re-charge R134a then you are good to cool.

If clutch still not engage, check the relay for the cultch. If relay is good, check the temperature switch.
