Front Engine pipe is

leaking. 99 Toyota camry, Non CA model. I can feel hot wind if I put my hand underneath the front pipe when engine is running. I want to change it, but the pipe has a converter connected to it, so it will cost me $540 to replace them all. Is there a cheap way to fix the problem? for example, use special type to band it? or some anti-leak jel ? Or is it safe to just leave it unfixed?

There are also two checking engine error codes p0171 and p0172: system too lean. Is it possible the check engine error is the result of above pipe leakage? One mechanic said yes, the other one said no. I am not sure who was telling me the truth.

Any advice is greatly appreciated !
