I drive a 10 years old car currently. In this case, I didn't buy a full cover insurance on my car. Last month, I had a car accident which I absolutely have no fault. The car next to me failed to stop in traffic and hitted my car from behind.fortunately, my car is still drivable, but the rear bump has damaged and the trunk can not be open. Then I make claim to my insurance company. They just told me that because of the type of insurance I bought does not cover the damage on my own car but only for others car if I have fault in the accident, they have no responsiablity to take care of my car. that means I have to repair it myself. I thought this is totally redicilous and unfair. It just like been raped off. The other driver have all fault, but he can just walk away like nothing happen and I have to deal with all the damages he made on my car.I'm not very familar with the traffic law in US, so is it suppose to be like this? Can I take any legal action to make whatever my insurance company or the other driver's insurance company or the other driver himself to take the charge for this accident.
Help about my car accident
