they need volatility to make money

it does not matter if the market is going higher or lower.  as long as it is volatile and volume is high, they make tons of money.  it is mostly high frequency trading.  i just feel it is a big waste for those talents to do trading.  Their talents should be used for something more important to the world.  But money talks!
