For parents who are interested in learning more about application plans, most college counselors belong to   The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), there are certain guidelines that they have to follow.

Since Early decision is binding, when a student is accepted, the accepting college may choose to inform high school and other colleges of the admission status.
 

Here is the exact language..."  It is understood, however, that if a candidate has been admitted Early Decision, then the college may notify the candidate’s high school and other colleges of the candidate’s application status."  It may notify not only the high school, but also other colleges!
