What are my chances of getting into UC Berkeley's CS with: 3.8 UW GPA 4.01 W GPA top 20% 1470 SAT... national merit scholar vice president of a club 50-60hrs community service out of state 105 TOEFL reached states in karate?

My Son had similar gpa with 1560 Sat; 2 academic decathalon state gold medals and nationals championships in his non division one sport, was a black belt karate and the only two UC schools he got into were Davis and Santa Cruz among the big 7 UC’s he applied too. His grades weren’t high enough when they get 85000 applications and can take so few students.

Berkeley wants 3.96/4.0 and a 4.45 (including AP courses) or so for it’s 75th percentile and 3.86/4.0. Unless a division one sports player it’s sadly possible just not likely. The Uc schools as you may know want grades
