If the parents is selfishless and unconditionally contribute to their children and teach thier kids to be thankful. Usually the result is good! Bad tempered parents won't have easy relationships with kids. Usually those easy going ones have better relationships with their kids. It all depends on the individual whether one is compromising or not. There is no one size fits all.
