逛此坛的一点收获

直到两个月前我们也不知道什么Honors College。在这里溜达看别人提到此东西，才让女儿申请一个普通州大的这个项目。她也拖拖蹋蹋，一个月前才申请，她大约对旗舰州大的她的appeal还报着希望，直到被再次拒绝。

她 SAT只有1480，GPA 3.90。华盛顿大学CS据了她的申请，给了一个一般录取。说起来没被该校CS录取也在情理之中，以前看到过一些数字说华大CS需要SAT1550，GPA 近 4.0。不过最近看到reddit上有个学生SAT 1200， GPA3.6 也被录取了。其它还有几个的数据也很一般，比如说一个尼泊尔来的SAT 1450, 并且对CS也不是十分感兴趣，也被录取了。这些可能是现行的"holistic"的结果。华州还要再AA，对亚裔那就更难了。

她申请的华盛顿州大（该校比那个西雅图的华盛顿大学相差甚远）Honors College 几天前给了她录取通知。这个学院和国内的东南大学、英国的利物浦大学有学生交换项目。江苏是俺老家，俺也在南京上的大学。她要是短期去那儿，倒也不错。这也许今年申请入学凭自己实力能够达到的最好的结果了（最初她还拿到个H的waitlist，几天前才给我说。我说那很惊奇 .....）。

华盛顿大学亚裔去年入学--Asian American 32.3%。 华盛顿州大亚裔只有4%。
