It will be worthwhile.

If there is not conflict with other activities, consider going. If your kid is already committed to the school, he or she might find like-minded kids there, has a headstart in forming friend ship. If your kid has not committed to the school, this is the chance to find out.  The school is doing its best to attract students and entice the uncommitted to return in the fall. It will be worthwhile either way.
