COMPLACENCY is the BIG Problem going forward...Next time, nobody will want to evacuate
Between now and March 2nd approx 14" rain will fall on that watershed, which is 1/3rd the area of Massachusetts or 2+ million acres.
There are multiple erosion cutbacks along the emergency spillway, many of them too large to fill.
Large bubbles have been spotted in the water on the far third of the emergency spillway.
4-6" of rain is due starting Wednesday evening.
The main spillway is showing signs that significant water under pressure is finding its way under the concrete "plates" at the top of the spillway.
As they run 100,000 cubic feet per second through the main spillway gates the cut back erosion is eating the concrete and has already chewed up the bed of the main spillway up to about the half way point, in a matter of days.
