"骑墙的有好机会就IB了"

Since 2007, my town has had over 10 such 骑墙的 premed+ECON graduates who, after failed IB careers,

would like to come back to medicine. So far none of them have succeeded with any US medsch(one went to

a Caribbean school), no matter how high their MCAT, GPA, etc., are.

"骑墙的有好机会就IB了"...Great and good luck with your IB career. But medical schools don't like such Gold Diggers. After all, they have plenty "virgin" applicants--why bother with "prostitutes"?

"双管齐下" is OK with other majors; but not with ECON/IB/FE if one is serious about a medical back up in future.
