CS is not an exception, but a little special

Say, I have two kids coming to the interview.

A:  GPA 3.8, no real project experience (other than several class group projects).

B:  GPA 3.2, paid job experience developing apps (team project, but played a significant role). Two apps live online.

Assuming interviews are equally good (i.e., they know what they are talking about), who would you hire? 

Almost all hiring managers will take B.
