Ashley Twitchell Takes 10K Title

Friday, Ashley Twitchell (UN-MVN) became the 2016 USA Swimming 10K champion at Ft. Myers, Florida, in a final 10 meter battle with Rachele Bruni (Italy) finishing in 2:01.51.78.  Haley Anderson (TROJ) finished 4th in the race while Stephanie Peacock (MVN) was 12th and Erica Sullivan (SAND) was 23rd.

The men's title went to Andrew Gemmell (NCAP) is 1:53.53.79 ahead of Ferry Weertman (Netherlands) and Ous Mellouli (MVN - Tunisia).  Brendan Casey (TSM) finished 7th, Daniel O'Connor (MVN) 14th, Logan Redondo (MVN) 19th, Simon Lamar (FAST) 21st, Riley Molina (SAND) 22nd, Carter Grimes (SAND) 24th and Michael Brinegar (GWSC) 25th.

The 5K race will be held Sunday.但
