Three key factors for current "banking winter"

- Machines/AI/Big data/Programmed trading are replacing human

- Interest rate too low for banks to make decent profit. Bond trading has little profit.

- In the face of looming economic downtown (bear market), M&A, IPO activities have been down.

These macro trends are still evolving.

It is pretty bad right now, indeed.
