 Is yesterday’s action signaled a short term bottom ? Let us look at it from 3 perspectives. Fundamentally the Fed recognizes there are outside perils and now says rate hike is not written in stone. Technically we should have completed a five wave structure. OBV, OBI, FTSE, NASDAQ, all have the same 9 day pattern. Sentiment wise, we hit 700 NL at NYSE, and 500 NL at NASDAQ, Investor Intell. yesterday’s poll of Bull/Bear was at 24.7/39.2 a difference of 15 points, bearish enough to call a bottom. The only sentiment that is not extremely bearish is the put/call ratio at a 5 day average of 1.02. Even oil is very oversold. My conclusion is we probably have reached a short term bottom yesterday. Sectors looks interesting: banks, oil, tech. Stocks like DB, JPM, XOM, CVX, FB, GOOG, QQQ CSCO look interesting. The trend is UP. No more short. Watch Europe and NDX forhints how strong this rally can be.
