Why do we push our children?

I know long time ago, that I am just an ordinary person, and "接受这个事实，娃儿只是个普通娃儿，不仅普通，可能还有点笨了。"

Push comes from the insecurity of the adults.  Accepting that we don't have to be number one, then we feel more confident about ourselves and be content.  The goal is to raise happy, capable children, not IVY Leaguers.
