Encourage and help her to speak up starting from at home-

explain to her your concerns ( no criticizing, let her know you love her and want the best for her) and communicate how to handle each scenario appropriately. You can even let her practice the talking part just like preparing for audition. With practice/ experience, she would be more confident to express herself.
