I have contacted two eye doctors for CRT treatment. One eye doctor will charge $2400 for the initial cost. See his charge fee below:
Ortho-K Fees:
Complexity Level
Level 1 $1,900
Level 2 $2,400
Level 3 $2,800
Level 4 $3,300
Level 5 $3,800
When I saw him, my kid left eye power: -0.75, right eye -1.00, very minor nearsighted. However, he thinks her case is under level 2 category. So I wonder what kind of people can be in level 1 category. under -0.50? Under -0.50 almost means no nearsighted. However, his followup charge is not too expensive compared to the other eye doctor. He charges $200 for following service:
Computerized corneal measurements
? Corneal health evaluation
? Evaluation of Ortho-K lenses for scratches, chips, warping, etc.
? Renewal of Ortho-K prescription
? Must be conducted within 18 months of last lens dispensing.
The second doctor charges me $1800 for initial service, then charge $375 for followup services. See following from the doctor:
$375 is the annual renewal fee, which you would pay to renew your kids therapy for the 2nd year, 3rd year, and so forth. The renewal fee includes the following for the whole year: lab cleaning of the lenses (twice yearly), solutions, a 6-month and annual follow-up visit, and any additional follow-up visits necessary.
Please help me to decide which doctor I should see. My kid is only 10 years old, that means I have to pay $375 for at least 10 years. So I have to pay extra $1750 if I see the second doctor although his inital charge is less.
