Dear Mr. Headmaster,

I am following up on the emails that I sent to you earlier concerning an apology note from Owen. We expect the school to hold every student to the same standards. It might have been inappropriate for Andrew to make the alleged remarks to Owen. If there were hurt feelings, Andrew already accepted responsibility and apologized sincerely. However, the matter should not end here. The incident started with Owen. Evidence has not been brought to me to suggest otherwise. We believe that Owen is equally responsible and an apology is due from him.

We trust that you are in the best position to send the message to all of the students that derogatory remarks based on ethnic origin are unacceptable, and that instigating and escalating are equally at fault. We look forward to hearing from you concerning this matter.
