Our time was no better. Too many older students did even worse

Upon preparation for graduate entrance tests and assignment for work after graduation, some older students plaid very bad tricks, such as irritating younger and inexperienced students so badly that some of them became mentally ill before the graduate entrance tests, or have them say something stupid that the department did not like and sent them to less favorable places for work.

This was common back then, never get fixed. And now, it appears to be even worse.
